Part two "the three laws" are alive. In us.

I recently wrote a piece on the the "three laws of robotics" and how it flies in the face of what's going on in the field of  Lethal Autonomous Machines today.

It occurred to me that Asimov's three laws of robotics are currently in place but not in the way he had in mind..

Most societies today are structured along the dividing lines of race Creed or wealth.

Carefully examine any society and you will find that at the minimum the wealth divide is huge.

Anyone who finds themselves in one or other of the downtrodden categories will find that their lives are structured along the lines of the three laws.

They cannot harm the ruling class.

They get to obey the ruling class.

And they are expected to take care of themselves unless the ruling elite are inconvenienced by this.

Classic three laws.
